Hello, this trip out into the desert had two goals. 1. To get some desert experience under a friends belt in prep for a 5 day trip we are doing later this week. 2. Drive out to 30:30. Latitude 30 degrees, Longitude 30 degrees.
Unfortunately neither was fully accomplished but we still had fun. The day before it rained (which does not happen to often) so the sub sand was still wet which made the driving different... Ultimately there was little super soft sand for him to practice on. The other thing that happen was that the weather turned on us. It was windy when we went out but half way though the trip a big black nasty sand storm hit us so we had to turn back.... You can see from the coordinates below we were pretty close, about 25km/15miles away
Here is a short video of us driving though the desert before the storm even got close... You can see the sand blowing past us.
